RICKY JAMESON
Ricky thinks adventure will never happen to him, he's too shy and can't even face the local bully. But with the help of best friend Akele Cummings and the magic of the Illusion Stick, new worlds open up to him. However, when Bronco Williams steals the stick, he'll face his toughest challenge yet: an old enemy, old fears, with new powers. Can he succeed?
AKELE CUMMINGS
Akele is everything Ricky's not: outgoing, brave, and, uh, talkative. She's been Ricky's best friend their whole lives and is always ready to give him a hand, but what she really wants to help him do is to be able to stand up for himself, because she knows he has it in him. They'll both be tested, big time, and real soon.
BRONCO WILLIAMS
Bronco earned his nickname by being ornery as a horse that doesn't want to be saddled. And his specialty is making Ricky's life miserable, hanging that hated nickname "Specs" on him and doing everything else he knows to do. But, when he steals the Illusion Stick from Ricky, has he gotten himself (and everyone else) in over his head?
HARLOWE JAMESON
World War II wasn't enough to stop Harlowe, and nothing much slows him down either. He's 72, but as strong as a bull, and there's no one on earth that he loves like Ricky. He gives Ricky the Illusion Stick since he trusts him. And when it's stolen, he has wisdom and experience to lend, but will it be enough?

SIRENA
She's been battling the evil for 200 years, and beating him, too, but now he's got the upper hand. She has to leave the stick and find help before it's too late. Can she help Ricky get the stick back? And will she be strong enough to start a new winning streak against her old rival?
ALEX
Alex is one of the many magical creatures the Illusion Stick creates. He...um, she...um, it is a goat who guides Ricky and Akele through a world they created.
